Meus primeiros dias em Indiana estão entre os melhores dias da minha vida inteira. Eu estou estudando na Zionsville Community High School e tudo é muito diferente do que estou acostumado. Eu estou tendo aulas que nunca pensei que seria possível aprender sobre no Ensino Médio. Meus professores são fantásticos e tentam me incluir em todas as atividades que eles fazem. Além disso, eu me tornei amigo de alguns de meus colegas e conheci pessoas diferentes em toda a escola. Eu até vi um jogo de basquete pela primeira vez! Todos estavam ansiosos sobre quem ganharia, e eu estava me sentindo parte de tudo isso, aplaudindo e comemorando a vitória da equipe da nossa escola.
Estar aqui me fez entender a realidade que a maioria dos adolescentes americanos enfrenta em suas vidas diárias. Embora as dificuldades possam ser diferentes, todos nós temos medo do que vem a seguir em nossas vidas. É bom compartilhar esses sentimentos com pessoas de todo o Mundo, mesmo que nossas realidades sejam muito diferentes.
Minha família anfitriã é a melhor que eu poderia ter. Graças a eles, eu já pude ver muitos lugares diferentes e pude entender um pouco mais sobre a cultura americana. Embora eles tenham uma agenda apertada, sou muito grato por eles sempre estarem tentando me levar a lugares diferentes. A capital, Indianápolis, é um lugar bonito e culturalmente rico, com muitos museus e belos monumentos. Um dos meus lugares favoritos até agora era o Museu Eiteljorg de Índios Americanos e Arte Ocidental, que é um museu sobre os nativos americanos. Ter a oportunidade de conhecer a História deste país, e especialmente a História deste estado, Indiana, foi fascinante.
A última experiência que eu queria compartilhar (e eu não poderia deixar isso do lado de fora da minha incrível experiência) é a primeira vez que vi neve e andei de trenó. Preciso confessar que realizar esse sonho de infância me deixou em lágrimas. O grande momento com que sempre sonhei finalmente se tornou realidade, fiz um anjo de neve!!! Nós passamos a manhã inteira brincando na neve, tentando criar um homem da neve (que não deu certo, mas foi divertido tentar), tendo uma briga com bolas de neve e, a melhor parte, andar de trenó. Essa tem sido a melhor experiência que já tive e eu não tenho palavras para dizer o quanto sou grato por tudo isso.
LEARNING MOMENTS
My first days in Indiana are among the best days of my entire life. I am studying at Zionsville Community High School and everything is very different from what I am used to. I am taking classes that I never thought would be possible to learn anything about in High School. My teachers are fantastic and try to include me in all the activities that they do. Also, I’ve become friends with some of my classmates and I met different people throughout the school.. I even saw a basketball game for the first time! Everyone was anxious about who would win, and I was feeling like a part of all that, cheering and celebrating the victory of our school team.
Being here made me understand the reality that most American teenagers face in their daily lives. Although the difficulties might be different, all of us are afraid of what is coming next in our lives. It is good to share these feelings with people around the world, even though our realities are very different.
My host family is the best one I could have. Thanks to them, I got to see a lot of different places and was able to understand a little bit more about American culture. Although they have a busy schedule, I am very grateful for them always trying to get me to different places. The capital, Indianapolis, is a beautiful and culturally rich place, with a lot of museums and beautiful monuments. One of my favorite places until now was the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, which is a museum about the native Americans. Being able to get to know about the History of this country, and especially the History of this state, Indiana, was fascinating.
The last experience I wanted to share (and I could not possibly leave this outside of what my amazing experience has been) is my first time seeing snow and sledding. I need to confess that accomplishing this childhood dream got me in tears. The big moment I always dreamed of finally came true, I made a snow angel!!! We spent the whole morning playing in the snow, trying to create a snowman (which didn’t work out but was fun trying), having a snowball fight and the best part, sledding. This has been the best experience ever and I do not have the words to say how thankful I am for all of this.
